KARACHI: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and an intelligence agency arrested a suspected militant belonging to the proscribed Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in a raid in Lee Market on Tuesday.

The held suspect was identified as Jameel Ahmed, alias Qari, a CTD press released said.

It said he had been in contact with TTP militant Hammad Ansari, who had tasked him with recording videos of sensitive installations in Karachi. The suspect would send the footage to Ansari, who edited and later uploaded it on social media, it added.
