The Palestinian group has said in statement that talks with Israel on the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire deal have not started yet, Al Jazeera reports.
Hamas spokesperson Abdul Latif al-Qanoua also accused Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu of deliberately “stalling the implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement”.
Al-Qanoua stressed that the movement is still waiting for Israel to implement all provisions of the “humanitarian protocol” related to the ceasefire while repeating the group’s readiness to fully execute the agreement in all its phases.of the first phase of the ceasefire deal it agreed with Hamas.
Hamas’s statement was issued last night, before the Israeli military claimed that one of the bodies of four Israelis returned from Gaza on Thursday was not an captives. Hamas has yet to respond to the Israeli military’s claims.
