Top US diplomat Marco Rubio has arrived for a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at his office in Jerusalem on Sunday, as he launched his first Middle East tour, an AFP journalist reported.

On his visit to the region, Rubio is expected to push US President Donald Trump’s widely condemned proposal to take control of the Gaza Strip and relocate its more than two million residents.
