Even with a fragile ceasefire in place, Palestinians in Gaza continue to struggle to access basic necessities, such as food and shelter, after months of Israeli bombardments and ground offensives have decimated vital infrastructure and wiped out entire neighbourhoods, Al Jazeera reports.

“The war paused, but starvation is still ongoing,” Um Yehia Shaheen, a displaced woman from Gaza City, told The Associated Press.

“If it wasn’t for this charity kitchen, we wouldn’t have been able to find an alternative for ourselves because everything is expensive and there are no humanitarian assistance coupons,” she added.
