The French president said expelling up to 2 million Palestinians from Gaza, as has been repeatedly proposed over recent weeks by President Trump, would be an “extremely dangerous” move, Al Jazeera reports.

Speaking to the Financial Times, Emmanuel Macron reiterated comments he made earlier this week, saying: “For me, the solution [in Gaza] is not a real estate solution. It is a political solution”.

Macron continued that Trump’s proposals for Gaza and Greenland — an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark, which the US president has pushed to purchase — were examples of the “extreme strategic uncertainty” the world is now living in.
