CHARSADDA: A transgender person was shot dead by unknown assailants on Tangi Road in the limits of the city police station here on the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
According to police, the incident took place at a plaza on Tangi Road. The transgender person was identified as Fazle Wahid, alias Gorgora. The dead body was shifted to the DHQ Hospital in Charsadda.
He used to perform at wedding ceremonies.
The city police station registered a case on the complaint of Mansif, brother of the victim, against unknown accused and started investigation.
