The US Department of the Treasury has imposed sanctions on the International Criminal Court’s (ICC) top prosecutor Karim Khan, Al Jazeera reports.

The move comes after US President Donald Trump last week ordered asset freezes and travel bans on ICC officials for issuing arrest warrants targeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former defence minister Yoav Gallant for alleged war crimes in Gaza.
