The Qassam Brigades and other Palestinian armed groups say they are confronting Israeli troops, including through ambushes, in the Nur Shams and Tulkarem refugee camps in the north of the occupied West Bank, Al Jazeera reports.

The clashes have resulted in the death of Palestinian fighter, Khaled Mustafa Amer, the group was quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, local sources told Al Jazeera Arabic that fighting is also ongoing in the Jenin refugee camp — also located in the north of the territory.
