ISLAMABAD: The National Rahmatul-lil-Aalameen Authority (NRKNA) on Thursday organised an event to celebrate Christmas with a unique approach under the theme “Blessing for All - Rehmat Sab Ke Liye”.
The event focused on bringing joy to orphan Christian children and those from broken families by presenting them with gifts.
The authority is a subsidiary body of education ministry, established to promote teaching of holy prophet. The event was attended by representatives from various religious minorities, including Christian, Hindu, and Bahai communities.
Prominent figures such as Pandit Mohan Lal, Anwar Chan Bhatti, President of the Sanatan Dharam Social Welfare Council, Sister Tasleem, caretaker of an orphanage, Christopher Sharaf from Paigham-i-Pakistan, Mubashir Mahboob, Dr Seema Farzad, Prof. Mehrdad, and Father John Vianney shared their thoughts and appreciated the authority’s initiative to promote interfaith harmony.
National Rahmatul-lil-Aalameen Authority Director General Zafar Mahmood Malik warmly welcomed the participants, highlighting the Authority’s commitment to fostering unity and understanding among diverse communities. He stressed upon the need for social harmony and appreciation of diversity.
Speaking on the occasion, National Rahmatul-lil-Aalameen Authority Chairman Khurshid Nadeem shed light on the authority’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen interfaith harmony.
He emphasized the formation of the Rahmatul-lil-Aalameen Minorities Club, underscoring that the blessings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) are meant for all of creation.
