TOBA TEK SINGH: Two women were allegedly gang-raped in a hotel near GTS Chowk at Faisalabad on Thursday.
Complainant ‘R’ of Mananwala, Sheikhupura, alleged in her FIR registered by the People’s Colony police under Section 375-A of PPC that her married daughter and her sister-in-law had a friendship with accused ‘A’ of Okara and ‘F’ of Chak 276-JB, Dandewal, Faisalabad.
They exchanged their pictures through WhatsApp with the accused persons who asked them to meet them in Faisalabad otherwise they would send these pictures to their husbands. When they reached Faisalabad, the accused took them to a hotel where they forcibly raped them and also made their videos to blackmail them.
In a press release, CPO Kamran Adil has claimed that both the accused have been arrested.
SUICIDE: A young woman died by suicide in Chak 57-JB, Faisalabad, on Thursday.
Sandalbar Station House Officer (SHO) Shakeeb Raza said when police reached the house of Mushtaq Jat, they were informed that Atiya Bibi, 29, had shot herself dead with the gun of her father over a domestic issue.
Meanwhile in Roshanwala police station area Chak 86-JB, Gurala, one Raees Masih, 23, also hanged himself from a ceiling fan after quarrelling with his parents over some domestic issue.
BURNT ALIVE: A youth was burnt alive after a fire erupted in his room in Mochiwala area, Chak 250-JB, Nanga Amrans, at Jhang on Wednesday night.
Azmat Ali, 22, had ignited firewood in his room to keep it warm when a cloth caught fire and then spread in the entire room.
The youth sustained serious burn injuries and died instantly.
GAS LEAK: Four workers became unconscious due to accumulation of gas in a biscuit factory on Khidderwala Road located at Gojra on Thursday.
Reports said someone had left open the LPG cylinder valve and when Abubakar, Taimoor, Abdullah and Hamid entered the room, they fainted.
Rescue 1122 staffers gave them first aid and shifted them to Gojra THQ Hospital where their condition was stated to be stable.
KIDNAPPED: Two men kidnapped a woman from Gojra’s locality of Islampura on Thursday.
Complainant Nabeel of Madina Town, Faisalabad, alleged in his FIR registered under Section 365 of PPC by Gojra City police that his wife, Mahnoor, was kidnapped by two unidentified men from the house of her parents.
MURDERED: A man was murdered in Tandlianwala tehsil, Chak 402-GB, at Faisalabad on Thursday.
Reports said Zohray Khan, 35, was attacked by two motorcyclists who fled after killing him. It is learnt that the deceased had an old enmity with some persons.
WASA: After converting 18 disposal stations to solar energy, Faisalabad Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) will save an amount of Rs100 million which it spends every month on payment of electricity bills.
This was stated by Wasa Managing Director Amer Aziz while talking to a delegation of Punjab Energy Efficiency and Conservation Agency (Peeca) at Faisalabad.
Delegation members informed the Wasa MD that every station would be provided with the solar system of one megawatt. They said Peeca would require 45,000 square feet land for the installation of solar system.
