LAHORE: A mother of five was shot dead by her husband in Gujjarpura on Sunday.

The victim, identified as Tuba, was shot twice and died instantly.

According to a police official, the couple had been facing marital issues for the past few years due to suspect Abdul Rehman’s rude behaviour. On Sunday, an argument escalated and Rehman became aggressive.

Reports suggest that he first beat Tuba before returning with a pistol and shooting her.

The police arrived at the scene and shifted the body to the city morgue for a postmortem.

A murder case has been registered against Abdul Rehman, who fled the scene immediately after the attack.
