Earlier, Al Jazeera reported that the Israeli military is pursuing a second man who took part in the shooting of a bus near the Israeli settlement of Ariel in the occupied West Bank.

Israeli Army Radio is now reporting there is no second suspect and that the attack was carried out by just one person. The man who carried out the attack was armed with an automatic weapon, and wore a vest on his body, the outlet said.

Footage verified by Al Jazeera’s fact-checking agency, Sanad, earlier showed the man, apparently dead, lying on the side of an Israeli highway after the military announced it had “neutralised” the attacker.
