Israeli forces have shot dead three members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group during an army raid into Qabatiya in the Israel-occupied West Bank, the Palestinian health ministry and the group say.
According to Reuters, the armed wing of the PIJ said three of its members were killed as they confronted Israeli forces who raided Qabatiya near the city of Jenin. There was no immediate Israeli comment.
Later on Tuesday, the Palestinian health ministry said two Palestinians had been killed by Israeli fire in the Palestinian city of Jenin in the West Bank. Israel’s military did not immediately comment on the incident.
