RAHIM YAR KHAN: A man shot himself dead after killing his wife, a son and injuring two relatives in Tibbi Laaran area near Katcha Sadiqabad Road on Monday evening.

Reports said Mehmood Ahmed went to his in-laws’ house to reconcile with his estranged wife. Both exchanged harsh words and Ahmed fired on his wife Muskan, and their son, Musa, killing them on the spot. He also injured his mother-in-law, Parveen and his wife’s uncle, Bashir Ahmed.

After the shooting, Mehmood Ahmed turned the gun on himself, ending his life. The injured were rushed to Sheikh Zayed Medical College Hospital, where Bashir Ahmed’s condition is said to be critical.

Police spokesperson Saif Ali Wains said the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of C Division police. SP Investigation Arslan Zahid reached the spot and called the forensic team for further investigations.
