The Israeli military has said it shot down a projectile launched towards Israel from the direction of Yemen before it crossed into Israel, Al Jazeera reports.

In a post on X, the army did not specify if a drone or missile had been intercepted and that sirens that sounded in parts of Israel were “activated according to policy”.
