Israeli emergency service says foreign worker killed in north

The Magen David Adom National Emergency Medical Service said that a 40-year-old man was found dead in an agricultural field in Kfar Masaryk, a kibbutz in northern Israel, Al Jazeera reports.

It said that the man, a foreign worker, “had severe injuries from shrapnel and was declared dead at the scene”.

Israeli police said on its official Telegram channel that the shrapnel wounds were sustained from a rocket.

Sirens had been heard in the area approximately an hour before the man was found, police said.
