An Israeli officer died of wounds sustained during the army’s assault on northern Gaza earlier this month, Al Jazeera reports.

Major Guy Yaacov Nezri, 25, a company commander in the 401st Armored Brigade’s 52nd Battalion, was seriously wounded on October 19 during fighting in the Jabalia refugee camp.

Two other soldiers were killed in the incident when they were hit by anti-tank fire from Hamas fighters, the Time of Israel reported.
