Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement expressing deep concern about the “exchanges of attacks” between Israel and Iran, including Israel’s latest attacks on Iran’s military facilities.

“Japan strongly urges all parties concerned to exercise maximum restraint and to calm the situation, as peace and stability in the Middle East region are extremely important to Japan,” the statement added.
