WHO ‘lost touch’ with personnel after Israeli raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital
The World Health Organisation chief said contact has been lost with personnel in the Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza after it was stormed by Israeli soldiers, Al Jazeera reports.
Tedros Ghebreyesus described the situation as “deeply disturbing”, saying final contact was made last night, when 23 patients and 26 caregivers were transported to al-Shifa Hospital amid increasing Israeli attacks.
“Kamal Adwan Hospital has been overflowing with close to 200 patients — a constant stream of horrific trauma cases. It is also full of hundreds of people seeking shelter.”
