Israeli forces destroy only firetruck in north Gaza, ending rescue services

As it advances into the 20th day of siege and attacks on northern Gaza, the Israeli military has forced a halt to all rescue operations in the heavily bombed area, Al Jazeera reports.

The Palestinian Civil Defence in Gaza shared the latest updates, in which the Israeli military arrested five civil defence workers in Gaza’s Sheikh Zayed area and took them to an unknown location.

Israeli tanks targeted the only firefighting vehicle in the northern Gaza Strip with their shells and set it on fire. The fate of three wounded civil defence personnel who were targeted by an Israeli drone in the Beit Lahiya Project area is unknown after contact was lost with them.
