The United States has launched a review of an Israel Defence Forces (IDF) unit that could have implications for US assistance to Israel, Axios reports, citing two Israeli and two US officials.

The review focuses on the IDF’s ‘Force 100’, which is in charge of guarding detainees from Gaza, and no findings have been reached yet, Axios reported, citing a US official.

Several members of the unit are currently on trial in Israel for allegedly sexually assaulting a Palestinian detainee.
