The Israeli military says its air defences intercepted a rocket launched from Lebanon as two others landed in open areas in northern Israel, Al Jazeera reports.

An army statement said the attacks were carried out between 9:37am and 9:49am local time (06:49 GMT).

Hostile aircraft warnings were activated in the Gulf, Carmel and Upper Galilee areas, it added.
