The health ministry in Gaza has said that at least 42,500 people have been killed in fighting between Israel and Palestinian militants.

The toll includes 62 deaths in the previous 24 hours, according to the ministry, which said 99,546 people have been wounded in the Gaza Strip since fighting broke out on October 7, 2023.
