Israel has notified US military officials about the potential death of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar and passed along photos of what could be his dead body, Reuters reports quoting a US defence official speaking on condition of anonymity.

“We are awaiting updates from the Israelis,” the official said.

US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin, who is visiting Nato headquarters, has been informed and was passed a note about the matter during ongoing meetings with defence allies in Brussels.
