The Gaza health ministry has said that at least 42,126 people have been killed in the fighting between Israel and Hamas, AFP reports.

The toll includes 61 deaths in the previous 24 hours, according to the ministry, which said 98,117 people have been wounded in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
