Medical supplies arrive in Beirut, says WHO chief

The head of the World Health Organisation has announced that flights containing medical supplies have arrived in Beirut.

Tedros Ghebreyesus, in a post on X, said that supplies for “injuries, cholera and mental health” have arrived in Beirut, with enough aid to treat 100,000 patients.

“WHO is working to bring in additional supplies to meet all the needs,” he added, thanking the UAE’s president and foreign minister, as well as the humanitarian hub at Dubai International Airport.
