Filippo Grandi, the UN high commissioner for refugees, has said that two of his agency UNHCR colleagues were among those killed in Israeli strikes in Lebanon.

“Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon are now relentlessly claiming hundreds of civilian lives,” Grandi said in a post on X on Tuesday.

“And I am very saddened to confirm that two UNHCR colleagues were also killed yesterday,” he added.
