A Palestinian channel has published videos on Telegram showing a Palestinian man, Khalil Kabaja, being forced to demolish his two-storey home in the village of at-Tur, in occupied East Jerusalem, Al Jazeera reports.

The videos have been verified by Sanad, Al Jazeera’s fact-checking agency.

House demolitions in East Jerusalem have surged 60 per cent since October 7 and the number of Palestinians who are bulldozing their own homes to avoid a hefty fine has doubled.
