Josep Borrell, the EU’s foreign policy chief, has called for “access to independent investigations and accountability” for the Israeli army’s attack on the al-Mawasi refugee camp, Al Jazeera reports.

In a post on X, Borrell also called for “an end to the appalling situation of innocent civilians in Gaza”.
