The World Food Program (WFP) has called for a ceasefire in Gaza, saying that almost half a million people face catastrophic levels of hunger, Al Jazeera reports.

“Due to unreliable access and limited stocks, families often don’t receive the full [food] rations and frequency they need.”

The WFP said on X that it helped one million people in June “but that’s not enough”.
