Israeli troops have located long-range rockets during operations in the eastern Gaza City neighbourhood of Shujayea, Al Jazeera reports according to the Israeli army.

The military said in a statement that the development “indicated a renewed attempt by the enemy to establish a base in the area”.

The army added that soldiers also discovered and destroyed tunnel shafts and booby traps in Shujaiya.
