Thousands of families in Gaza forced to rely on seawater: UN agency

The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees has said sanitation facilities and infrastructure in Gaza are severely compromised, forcing thousands of families to rely on seawater to wash, clean and drink.

“Children in Gaza can spend 6-8 hours a day collecting water & food, often carrying heavy weights & walking long distances,” it said in a post on X.
