Israeli army says operations continuing in Shujayea
The Israeli army says its troops are continuing operations in Shujayea and “fighting simultaneously above and below ground”, Al Jazeera reports.
In a situational update, the army said troops had eliminated “a large number of terrorists” over the past day and located a weapons storage facility within a school compound.
It added that the Air Force also struck “terror targets and armed terrorist cells, including a terrorist cell that was on its way to fire at troops”.
In Rafah, the army said ground troops were continuing its intelligence-based operation and had “eliminated numerous terrorists in the area” over the past day.
In the central Gaza Strip, the army said it “eliminated numerous terrorists” on the ground, and the airforce had struck “several anti-tank missile posts.”
