Manzoor Wattoo rejoins PPP with sons, daughters
LAHORE: Former Punjab chief minister Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, along with his family members, rejoined the Pakistan People’s Party after meeting with party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari here on Monday.
Manzoor Wattoo on Monday announced joining the PPP, along with his family members ex-MNAs Khurram Wattoo, Rubina Shaheen Wattoo and ex-MPAs Moazzam Wattoo, Jahan Ara Wattoo and Amina Wattoo Kasuri.
The PPP chairman welcomed the Wattoo family to the party.
Mr Wattoo had joined the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) in September 2018, after he violated the PPP discipline by contesting the July 25 general election as an independent candidate against the party nominee.
He had made seat adjustment at the local level with the PTI candidate in a bid to win, but in vain.
PPP central Punjab President Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, secretary general Hassan Murtaza, information secretary Shahzad Saeed Cheema and Chaudhry Sajjadul Hassan were also present in the meeting.
