NAWABSHAH: A young man who had returned home a couple of days back from Dubai was shot dead by a housewife’s husband, who also strangled her to death on the pretext of an objectionable friendship between the victims in Raza Abad village near Daur town on Friday.

The area police arrested the suspect, Arshad Marri, along with his alleged accomplice.

Daur DSP Hameed Jalbani told local reporters that Arshad strangled his 23-year-old wife, Zainab, to death in their home and then went to the residence of Zaman Marri in Rehmat Marri village, to kill him. The police officer said that Zaman worked in Dubai and had returned home a couple of days back.

The bodies were taken to the Daur Taluka Hospital for a postmortem examination

An FIR of the double murder was yet to be registered.
