LAHORE: A tea stall worker was gunned down in Gulberg on Monday by three unidentified bikers, allegedly in revenge for two murders he had committed in his native town in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

As per police, three armed men riding two motorcycles arrived at the tea stall and sprayed a worker, identified as Jabran (40), with bullets, causing his instant death.

The attackers, who kept on firing until they ensured the victim was dead, fled the scene immediately. The incident terrorised the area residents and shopkeepers.

The initial police investigations show the victim was a resident of Buner in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa where he had allegedly killed two persons in separate incidents.

Since then, Jabran was on the hit list of the relatives of the two men he had murdered, a police official said, adding that the deceased had left his native town in KP because of serious threat to his life.

He said Jabran moved to Lahore and started working at a tea stall in Gulberg area. He said the victim suffered 16 bullet shots on various parts of his body.

On being informed of the incident, police teams rushed to the site, set up pickets in the area to round up the attackers, but to no avail.

The body was shifted to the city morgue for autopsy and a case was lodged against the unidentified attackers.
