SUKKUR: A man killed his maternal uncle on the pretext of ‘honour’ near Gagri within the jurisdiction of Juneji police station in Salehpat near Rorhi taluka in Sukkur.
According to local police, Subhan Ali Malah shot dead his maternal uncle Mushtaq Malah and fled.
Police officials said that Subhan Ali succumbed to the wounds and died on way to the hospital.
Some time ago a clash over honour flared up between two groups of the Mallah community in Salehpat, but elders of the area settled it through a jirga and imposed a Rs600,000 fine on Mushtaq Mallah side, who paid the penalty in three installments.
