KARACHI: Women take away cash, jewellery at gunpoint

KARACHI, Nov 27: In an unusual armed robbery, two aged women deprived a household of cash and jewellery in Usmania Colony, Nazimabad on Saturday.

According to the family sources, two women in their mid 50’s along with three young men came to their house DV/122 in Usmania Colony. The men stayed outside near their car, while the two women knocked at the door and asked for water. As a family member who had opened the door returned to fetch water, the women walked into the house and took out their TT pistols. After holding the family at gunpoint, they colleted cash of Rs90,000 and jewellery worth Rs45,000. After collecting the booty, the women walked out of the house and drove away with their young accomplices.

The entire hold-up was managed by the aged women, without the help of their young accomplices who waited in the get away car.

The family has submitted an application at the Rizvia police station, particularly mentioning about the age of the women.
