New DCs appointed in Pindi, Attock

RAWALPINDI: After two weeks, the Punjab government appointed new deputy commissioners in Rawalpindi and Attock as the former officials were removed from their posts over the Rawalpindi Ring Road scandal.

According to the government notification, Deputy Commissioner Okara Aamir Aqiq Khan (grade 19) has been posted as DC Rawalpindi, while Imran Hamid (grade 18) has been promoted to grade 19 and posted as DC Attock.

Rawalpindi’s former deputy commissioner retired Capt Anwarul Haq and Attock’s former deputy commissioner Annan Qamar have been removed from their posts.

However, posts of additional deputy commissioner (revenue), assistant commissioner (Saddar Rawalpindi), assistant commissioner (Fatehjang) are yet to be filled.

These officers were also removed over the Ring Road scandal.
