LAHORE: An exhibition of artworks by two artists will open at the O Art Space Gallery in Gulberg today (Monday).

The show titled, D I S T A N C E, will display the artworks of the emerging artists, Kiran Waseem and Mubashar Iqbal.

Ms Waseem is a graduate of the National College of Arts (NCA) with honors in painting. Her work is inspired by the idea of motion, both physical and metaphysical, transcending the confounds of imagination. This theme is consistent with all of her studio practice. During her early career, she was a part of the group shows of the galleries both in Lahore and Karachi.

Kiran Waseem practises visual art along with a vocalist and considers music, especially classic music, an inspiration. She teaches visual art at a renowned private school of Lahore.

Mubashar has completed his bachelor’s degree in fine arts in 2018 from the NCA. He was a part of projects such as “Short Stories” at 12.0 Contemporary Art Gallery in Islamabad and Young Artists Annual Exhibition at Alhamra Arts Council Lahore (2020) and held a solo show at the Taseer Art Gallery in Lahore.

The gallery will remain open from 12pm till 5pm. There will not be an opening reception due to Covid-19.
