Sindh govt bans all marriage functions from April 6, announces other restrictions
Following decisions taken by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) last week, the Sindh government has announced a number of restrictions with "immediate effect".
According to the notification, the restrictions will remain in effect till April 11.
The restrictions are as follows:
- Broader lockdowns to be imposed in areas with more than 8 per cent positivity rate.
- Indoor dining will be completely banned.
- Outdoor dining will be allowed till 10pm. However, takeaway/home delivery will be allowed after 10pm as well.
- All markets and shopping malls will be allowed to remain open from 6am to 8pm. However, essential services, petrol pumps and restaurants are exempt.
- All kinds of gatherings will be banned.
- All cinemas and shrines will remain closed.
- Only outdoor marriage functions with a limited number of guests will be allowed till April 5.
- All marriage functions both indoors and outdoors will be banned from April 6.
- Fifty per cent of the staff in public and private offices and courts will work from home.
- Inter-city public transport will operate at 50pc capacity.
- Wearing masks and maintaining social distancing will be compulsory at all offices and public places.
