BAHAWALPUR: A man allegedly committed suicide after killing his wife and daughter after quarrel with his wife atCholistan’sAdda Mirana village on Thursday.
Rescue 1122 officials said Muneer Ahmed had strained relations with his wife and they would frequently quarrel over petty issues. On Thursday, they exchanged harsh words after which Muneer killed his wife Jameela Bibi and daughter Asma bibi, 24, and later committed suicide.
Police sent the bodies for postmortem examination and completed legal formalities.
THEFT: Threeprecious deer of black buck species worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were allegedly stolen from the captivity enclosure at Lal Sohanra National Park on Wednesday night.
Police sources said the three deer were allegedly taken away by unidentified personswith the connivance of the park’s security guards from the enclosure. They were, however, recovered after some time and lodged in the enclosure.
District Forest Officer Ijaz Tabbasum said they were recovered from a village nearby. He said on information, he led a team of guards to recover the deer which were eventually found at Rana Akram’s outhouse.
