NAB probe

MIRPURKHAS: A team of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Karachi, inspected the Mirwah bypass road and Umerkot road leading to the Sanghar bypass to check quality of material used in the construction.

The team had arrived Mirpurkhas on Monday to undertake the inspection in continuation of its inquiry into the allegations of substandard material having been used by the contractors concerned.

Public complaints relating to the Rs550 million and Rs90 million projects, respectively, claimed massive corruption by officials and contractors in executing it.

The road leading to Sanghar bypass has been closed to traffic.
