RAWALPINDI: City Traffic Police (CTP) have launched an awareness campaign to sensitise motorists about keeping themselves safe during smog season.
The campaign has been started on the directives of the city traffic officer (CTO). People will be educated about healthy steps they can take for their own and their family’s safety.
Drivers and car owners should maintain their vehicles properly before coming out on the road, a CTP official said.
Teams also distributed pamphlets and face masks among motorcyclists, motorists and pedestrians while advising them to avoid burning waste as it largely contributed to the formation of smog. People were also informed about eye, nose and throat infections caused by it.
