ADB to provide $20m to help developing countries in obtaining Covid-19 vaccine
The Asian Development Bank will provide $20.3 million in technical assistance to developing countries in order to help them obtain vaccine for the novel coronavirus, it said in a press statement.
The funds will also help developing member countries of ADB to establish systems to enable equitable and efficient vaccine distribution.
“Asia and the Pacific has largely done well to limit the spread of COVID-19. Ensuring access to a safe, effective, and equitable vaccine is the next frontier in the fight against this virus,” said ADB Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department Director General Woochong Um.
