ISLAMABAD: A police team headed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Industrial Area Zone Zubair Ahmed Sheikh visited the Islamabad Model School for Boys I-14/4 under the police-public relations and educational programme, police said.
The team told the students how to keep an eye on suspicious people around them and how to alert the police about any suspect. They were also advised not to drive until they were 18 years old besides avoiding smoking and drugs.
The students were further asked to participate in physical activities in addition to extracurricular activities.
The SP also briefed the students about the precautionary measures to avoid Covid-19.
A lecture on traffic rules and their implementation was also arranged for the students in which Inspector Ishtiaq Ahmad explained the traffic rules.
Mr Sheikh gave a lecture on the duty structure of the capital police and its units, including the Bomb Disposal Squad, women police, traffic police, Special Branch and station house officers.
The students were also asked questions about general knowledge and Islamic history and those giving correct answers were given prizes.
