SHEIKHUPURA: Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar paid a surprise visit to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital on Sunday and suspended a doctor from service on the patients’ complaints.

He went to various wards of the hospital to inquire after the patients who complained about the shortage of medicines and other facilities in the hospital. They also complained about the indifferent behaviour of Dr Muzamil and the CM passed immediate orders to suspend him from service.

Talking to the media, the CM said the medicines shortage and other problems in the DHQ hospital would soon be resolved. To a question regarding the deteriorated law and order situation in the district, the CM directed the district police officer to improve the situation as soon as possible.

Mr Buzdar added that the PTI government would complete its five-year term and the conspiracy behind speculations about the dissolution of the PTI government would be foiled.

Later, he held a meeting with the district officers in the local services club and urged them to serve the people and resolve their problems without discrimination.

The CM also visited the local prison and the Children’s Hospital. At the hospital, he gave directions to the doctors and paramedics regarding care of the children.

Punjab Minister for Disaster Management Mian Khalid Mehmood, who belongs to Sheikhupura, also accompanied the CM.

The CM proceeded to Lahore after a stay of about one hour.

INDIAN LAWYERS: A delegation of 22 lawyers from India, led by Sardar Pratap Singh, visited the Gurdwara Janam Asthan, Nankana Sahib.

Talking to the media, the delegates expressed satisfaction over the hospitality and security arrangements made for them by the Pakistani government and people. Sardar Pratap Singh advocate expressed gratitude to Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar for granting them visa without any complication.

The delegation also visited the Nankana District Bar Association and exchanged views with local lawyers.
