MULTAN: The Lahore High Court, Multan Bench, on Thursday accepted a plea to disqualify Chief Minister Usman Buzdar for not declaring the actual value of his assets and fixed Oct 16 for hearing.

Akram Khan Malghani, who contested PP-286 as an independent candidate but was defeated by Buzdar, said the CM did not mention the actual value of his assets while filing his nomination papers.

He stated that on July 28, prior to the consolidation of the results, he had moved an application for a recount but the returning officer rejected it for being time barred.
