SAHIWAL: Funeral prayers in absentia for three female medical students of the Sahiwal Medical College who drowned in the Neelam Valley bridge collapse in Azad Kashmir on Sunday were offered on Monday.
The prayers were attended by faculty members, a large number of medical students and doctors along with family members of the deceased students.
SMC Principal Dr Arshad Querashi told Dawn that the body of Rashem Naz had been recovered while Amina Kausar and Amtul Mansoor, all from the fourth year, were missing.
Three other SMC students are under treatment at the Rawalpindi CMH.
Some 50 students of the SMC had visited Neelum on a private trip.
