What the actors have to say …

Hina Dilpazeer

The versatile Hina Dilpazeer dismisses the notion that she wasn’t interested in acting in films. “I was on the lookout for the perfect script to launch my film career and JH was exactly what I had in mind,” she says. “Now I don’t know what to do with the scripts that are still lying around in my house [smiles]. With JH, I had a proper script which I found interesting because I feel that it doesn’t matter that you are doing a film. What matters is what you are doing in that film.”

Adnan Jaffar plays one-half of an ideal couple with Samiya Mumtaz as the wife. “The two take part in a game show where things go from bad to worse. This film makes fun of the blind race for television rating points [TRPs] but in order to know how, you have to watch the film.”

TV host and actress Kiran Tabeer is thrilled to be part of a film so early in her career. “Films have their own charm and when you have such talented directors, you feel lucky. We rehearsed daily for 25 days and that’s the reason why we didn’t need much time in shooting, which wrapped in less than two weeks.”

“People expect the Humsafar guy whenever my name comes up,” says theatre actor Fawad Khan. “I have been associated with NAPA as an actor/director and always wanted to work with Farjad Nabi because I think he is a very good director. Even though this my second film with Matteela — the first being Girdaab — I auditioned for the role of Kiran’s husband and I hope that the audience will like my role in the film.” — O.A.
